Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children: Ransom Riggs

With such vast choice of Sci-Fi and Fantasy novels available on the market, I have chosen Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. Although I typically would not purchase a fantasy novel, this is one that I would consider after recently watching the film.

After the protagonist of the novel is left with his grandfathers black and white photographs after his death, the designer has cleverly incorporated this onto the cover image. The use of different fonts on the front cover works well in this case as it combines two aspects of the novel cleverly and they work well together.

The interior text is that of a typical fiction book, with no special attributes applied!

There is a now a film tie in cover that is available however I do much prefer this as I think it fits well with the theme and works well for the audience.
