Miss You: Kate Eberlen

Miss You from Kate Eberlen has a very simple cover image but stands out well in the bookshop.

After previously seeing this on a bookshelf, the vivid red does attract the eye and the gold embossing on the bottom of the cover is also a nice touch. I think it is is very clever how the title of the novel has been manipulated to make a love heart, as this fiction novel is about a love story between Gus and Tess.

As the book is an unconventional love story, the gap in between the love heart is an interesting addition, as this could symbolise the struggle they have had before they properly meet.

Unfortunately, although I was drawn to this cover image it is not one of my favourites. I don’t think the three quotes on the front are all that necessary as I feel that it clogs the cover image up. They perhaps would have been better being placed on the back of the book so the reader is drawn only to the title of the book.

Like a typical fiction book, the interior has nothing much to offer!
